Nope. Still wrap my hands around a big old volume (or small if paperback). I spend too much time on the computer so I find it nice to sit back, relax and turn the pages

Me. Me. Me. I have the $359 version that my girls bought me for X-mas and I LOVE it! I think I have definitely read even more now that I have the ability to purchase more books more frequently. There are also LOTS of "Free" books available on the Amazon Kindle web site. I am re-reading some of the classics. Many authors place a free book out there to encourage you to purchase their others. I have also purchased a few books for my grandchildren. They love helping me "turn" the pages of their favorite Curious George book. Jacob loves to read on the Kindle even though he is not big on reading in general. (Jacob has Autism and I do believe his speech has improved by doing a lot of reading. The Kindle will also read the book to you if you want it to. The children love to follow along.) But...I guess I am a bit of a "techy". I have also placed a Kindle app on my iPhone. Now I can read my books on my Kindle when I am at home and also read them on my iPhone when I am out. (Doctor's offices, waiting rooms, at the park with my grandchildren, or walking on the treadmill at the club. It is so much easier to read when you don't need to flip pages.) You can easily sync your Kindle to your iPhone and never miss a paragraph. The price of books you can purchase are less than the cost in a book store. I figure I have re-cuped about $200 so far this year from buying the books on my Kindle rather than buying the hard cover books. And it is so easy. I can hardly wait until I finish a book so that I can look to see what I can read next. Good thing I can stick some of the free books between the ones that I purchase. I am not certain I would like the over-sized Kindle. I am happy with the Kindle 2 which is not much bigger than a paperback. But, if you like to read, it is really lots of fun to have the Kindle. If you can afford it, I would definitely give it a thumbs up. _________________ ModeratorNo matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. But, BB season is the best!

Amazon Slashes the Price of Kindle 2Amazon shed $60 off the price tag of the Kindle 2 to $299 from $359 that could result in higher demand for the mobile electronic reading device. The move could push fence-sitters leery of the hefty price tag to jump onboard the electronic-reading train. Recent optimism from analysts and tech watchers about the sales of revenue from the latest electronic reader might be the reason behind the price slash. In a report Wednesday, Sandeep Aggarwal, an Internet research analyst at Collins Stewart, wrote he expected the Kindle to generate $310 million in revenue and $70 million in profit this year for Amazon. The company's larger Kindle DX remains at its original $489 price. See our Amazon.com page for the latest videos and news on the online retailer. More than 300,000 books are available on the reading device, and users can subscribe to magazines and newspapers for a monthly fee. Amazon didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/industries/technology/amazon-slashes-price-kindle/
