| We're having our annual "NHL Entry Draft" party Friday night (I know, true hockey nerds, right? Lol) and I've been refining my picks. I'm determined to win our draft pool this year. It's a pretty basic pool - you get one point for each player that you've placed correctly in the first round - for the tie breaker we move into the second round. I've hidden my list from my DH in our "documents" file. I titled it "Dealing With Menopause" - I know he'll never look at that! | My feelings were hurt by Heatley asking for a trade so I'm trying to maintain a blase, "I don't really care" attitude about the Senators right now (Lol) but I'm pretty excited about Murray signing Alex Kovalev to a two year deal. I've loved watching this guy over the last 15 or 16 years. He can be such a magician on the ice. Any time his team was in town, I couldn't take my eyes off him every time he went over the boards. Now if Dany Heatley would just get off the pot and make a decision, I could start to look forward. (He may have to wear a disguise to get in to Jason Spezza's wedding here this month! Ha) _________________ In combat or competition, where the stress levels are highest, you do not rise to the occasion… you sink to the level of your training.

| Hip hip hooray! Bryan Murray trade Dany Heatley to the Sharks today. Finally! I'm bummed that Heatley got to go to a team that he wanted to go to. (you know .... playing in a city where nobody knows who you are as soon as you step out of the rink .... bah!) I'm shining my bad luck hockey mo-jo on him. If it works, all his one-timers will ring off a goal post and hit him in the nads. We didn't get much back for him but at least it gets that whining, self-absorbed, selfish jerk off my team and out of the locker room. I hope Jonathan Cheechoo and Milan Michalek have their best years ever. _________________ In combat or competition, where the stress levels are highest, you do not rise to the occasion… you sink to the level of your training.

| Ok, I'm officially excited to be attending the Senators' home opener against the Islanders on Thursday night. Home openers are always so loud and crazy. I'm going to wear my lucky panties, don a new outfit and cheer myself hoarse! _________________ In combat or competition, where the stress levels are highest, you do not rise to the occasion… you sink to the level of your training.

I like him a lot. I hope he makes the final cut for Canada's Olympic team ...... he's sure playing like he wants to be there! (Just have him trip Heatley for me when he gets a chance.) _________________ In combat or competition, where the stress levels are highest, you do not rise to the occasion… you sink to the level of your training.

| Yes, I'm going to the Senators/Penguins game tonight. We had our Thanksgiving dinner last night so it wouldn't interfere with our hockey schedule. Lol (Ottawa has a lot of home games this month) If I'm being objective, I'd have to expect the Penguins to win ..... of course I'm far from objective! (I forgot to mention that Carrie Underwood was at the game Saturday night against Atlanta - maybe she'll be there tonight as well) _________________ In combat or competition, where the stress levels are highest, you do not rise to the occasion… you sink to the level of your training.

| Have fun!! Take pictures...lol. How is Cheechoo doing? I've loved the Penguins since I was young and I've been a Sidney Crosby fan since his Junior draft year. The Junior team in my town (the Lincoln Stars of the USHL) drafted Sid. IF Sid would have taken the College route, he might have played for us! The kid just continues to amaze me. Gooooo Penguins!!! |
