Its pretty obvious that they don't want a Redwings Stanley Cup win again this year. I mean one of the Penguins should have been suspended for Tuesdays game but they overturned it? I call BULLSHIT!

lol! I hear ya girl! During game three I was so worked up about the "non" calls against the Penguins' players (I mean, come on, how obvious was that interference against Hossa anyway?) that my DH got me a cold compress from the freezer - ha!

I'm worried for my Wings....they need to get their heads out of the arses and get that damn puck in the net. And Ozzie, you need to stop those damn pucks from going in the net....didn't look like he could have even stopped a beach ball last night. Geez!

Now that is how you do it Detroit! They definitely showed all those naysayers! Its funny how all the talk has been about Penguins this and Penguins that, they must have forgotten the Wings did win the cup last year. I was LMAO at the Penguins throwing their little tantrums like they were.

Yup .... it was awesome! Detroit gave those boys a good schooling.
It was great to have Datsyuk back in the lineup - he assisted on two goals, was plus-two, had three takeaways and delivered four hits - not bad for a guy on a bad ankle. (I was glad he didn't seem to be hurt any more than he already was after Talbot slashed his bad ankle)

Don't worry lovin ..... the Wings will win it at home in front of their fans on Friday. (I hope! Lol)
Speaking of uncalled penalties .... did you notice that stick to the gonads that Lidstrom got from Kunitz?
(By the way, I've just been on my hockey board fussin' and fightin' with people about Heatley ..... I'm so disappointed in that boy!)

I'm so hoping for that. They totally kicked their ass on Saturday and then last night I was like WTF is wrong with you guys, they looked tired. There were several uncalled penalties, but you know how that goes.

Being a Penguins fan, I also hear a lot of Red Wings this and Red Wings that talk. I just think it depends on who you are a fan of to what you hear the most of. Positive or Negative.

Being a hockey fan, I find this series pretty evenly matched (excluding Game 5....I was not a proud Penguins fan that evening). I LOVE that they are letting them play the game and not calling a lot of penalties on EITHER team. I feel it is the way the series should be.....intense and exciting.

Believe me, I remember that Detroit won the Cup last year...lol.

I'm glad this is going to Game 7. May the best team win. Very Happy

Well, I'm a big girl .... I'll suck it up and say congratulations to the Penguins. I never would have guessed that they could win 4 of the last 5 games against Detroit. Good job. I've followed Sydney since he was about 14 so I'm very happy for him.
(By the way, an old friend who lives in London called me at about 9 pm ET. I said hi etc. then I said "Boy, you've been living in England too long. You just called me in the middle of game 7 of the Stanley cup finals." WTF!)

I'm with you Jessie, the Wings just didn't have it in them these last few games. Kudos to them. What I don't like is people bashing Wings fans because they booed well they weren't booing the Pens they booing that shitty NHL douchebag. My hats off to the Pens! We can't win it every year lol!

What a great game 7 that was last night! (Although, it is hard to watch hockey on tv...nothing like being there watching the action!). Having lived in Ohio for 25 years, college hockey was a favorite pasttime. I have great memories of going on various dates to watch a hockey game...fun times, those were!

PostSubject: Re: NHL Hockey ~ Stanley Cup   June 16th 2009, 12:43 pm

I'll just do my venting to the two other hockey fans on this board. Lol
Well, I’m beyond disappointed in Dany Heatley. Reading the news this week that a 4 million dollar lump sum “bonus” is due to Heatley before July 1st is just the last straw. Could he have tied Murray’s hands any more in terms of his chances to trade him before July 1st? Melnyk must be livid.
Listening to his agent Stacey McAlpine on the radio and on TV the last couple of days was infuriating. He says “There’s more to it” than a reduction of ice time and being placed on the 2nd power play line at times. Well, what is it? I hate it when they say “There’s more to it” but don’t give us the information. What else could it be? (or is the agent just trying to spin selfish behavior that is impossible to spin?) Both Chris Neil and Mike Fisher were interviewed this week about Heatley's request for a trade with 5 years left on his contract and they both indicated that they were completely surprised when they heard the news on Hockey Central. (and Mike was over in Switzerland playing with Dany on Canada's team at the World Hockey Championships in May)
Blah ..... Heatley's totally screwing up my picks for the NHL entry draft next week. How inconsiderate! Lol

You had me hook, line and sinker and then I read your final sentence! lol! How inconsiderate of him!

Seriously, what is it with these divas? He didn't perform, he was knocked down a notch. He's still got the paycheck! If he feels that strongly about it, he should work to improve his game instead of asking for a trade. Gets my goat, every time!!!
