NY Mets baby!!!! I can't wait to get out to Shea for some games this season our last season before the new park. I'm gonna miss it. Good times. 1986 grabing some infield grass when they clinched the NL East. 1986 playoffs & WS. 1988 playoffs vs. Dodgers freezing my ass off at 2 playoff games within 17hrs because of the night game going extra innings. 2000 playoffs & WS. (BOO Yankees) that was NUTS! But the new park is going to be beautiful, everytime I went last year I was amazed how much was getting done already. I haven't been over that way in a while. I imagine alot more is done now.

My husband wants to visit all of the major league parks, this year we are going to Yankee Stadium while it still is in use and Boston to see where the Sox play.

We have been to 10 parks and have many more to visit. I guess the Atlanta Braves are our home team, if we have one.

WOW - very ambitious task you have ahead of you. Good Luck.

I do say that I am a bit jealous.

He gets to travel extensively for business, so he always makes time on his schedule for a baseball stadium visit. So far my favorites are Milwaukee's Miller Park and Seattle's Safeco Field. The place where the Twins play is the pits, also got to go to one of last games at the St Louis Cardinals old facility.

I remember the 86 ws like it was yesterday, Watching Game 6 and thinking they were losing, and what a comeback. Remember the song''' Lets Go Mets Go'' lol I started watching the yankees in the 90's because for awhile, we couldnt get themets games upstate, but i still hope for the best for the Mets-- I love Willie Randolph

Nope, it won't be the same w/o Biggio, but i'm looking forward to seeing Hunter Pence play. He had a great rookie season and I think he's shaping up to be a franchise player, like Biggio, Bagwell, and Berkman.

TWO walk off wins in a row for the Giants! This, sadly will be the high point of the season...
Unless the get THREE in a row!

Also, can I just say how much I love these two

Best in the business.

Quote:
Yanks unearth Sox jersey at new stadium
By KAREN MATTHEWS, Associated Press Writer

So much for the curse. The New York Yankees have ended a construction worker's attempt to jinx their new stadium with a buried Boston Red Sox jersey.

Team officials watched Sunday as construction workers removed the jersey, with slugger David Ortiz's name on it, from 2 feet of concrete in a service corridor of the stadium that's under construction.

The team says a construction worker — who is a Red Sox fan — recently buried the jersey there while on the job. Two other supervisors found the tattered shirt Saturday.

The Yankees plan to donate the jersey to charity, and may pursue a lawsuit against the construction worker.

I am hoping for a Red Sox vs. Dodgers World Series!!!
Sorry, Mrs C

I just want the Red Sox to beat the Dodgers' butts ...and to make Manny cry for leaving the best baseball team!!
I loved Manny but I got a bad taste in my mouth when he bit the hand that gave him PLENTY of food!

That's what TRD thought about his Dodgers.

No matter who wins tonight, I think they will win the WS. I don't follow the NL, I was only interested in the Dodgers, because of Manny, Derek and Joe. It would have been interesting if they played us in the WS.
