The Fashion Show Season 1

The Fashion Show premieres on Bravo on Thursday, May 7, 2009
at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Fifteen professional designers will compete in this
fashion creative competition series for a chance to have their designs
sold in the retail market and win a $125,000 prize.
Internationally acclaimed designer Isaac Mizrahi shares hosting
duties with four-time Grammy Award-winning performer and actress Kelly
Rowland. Mizrahi and Rowland will also serve as judges alongside
fashion luminary and Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion, Fern Mallis.
Each week the designers will be put to the test and will have to face
off in two challenges – the Harper's Bazaar Mini Challenge, judged by
the magazine's Special Projects Director Laura Brown, and the
elimination challenge. In the end, America will choose which
contestant will have a clothing line available for retail
and win the $125,000 prize.

Just as much drama with the personalities, but good.

It's a strange brood.

No they don't seem as talented. I don't like kelly too much as a host. Also, it bugs me when they go to what seems like a closet and stand around deciding who wins/loses. I do like the fashion shows and the group projects are different.

It's not Project Runway, but it will do for the time being.

i don't know I actually like it alot,hmmmm, for fear of a heel to the head, maybe better than PR. I like the set up forced to do collections, but the designers I am not sold on completely, I like daniella,as far as her design aesthetic. and maybe the tweed jacket g irl.

The designers' skills are put to the test in a coat making challenge.


The poor workmanship on Markus' coat was ultimately the reason that the judges decided to send him packing.




Andrew won the elimination challenge this week with a chic extendable trench that was stylish and practical.

Interesting concept tonight... creating outfits to go with shoes.

Rico's dress was amazing!

I really don't like Lidia's dress. Between the netting and those awful pocket flaps on the hips... ugh.

I totally disagree with who went home tonight.
