A tabloid reporter who has gotten close to Jon Gosselin has resigned.
"Star Senior Reporter Kate Major resigned this morning, Thursday, July 23, citing a conflict of interest between her reporting duties for the magazine and her relationship with Jon Gosselin," read a statement on Star's website.

Major - who dined with Gosselin Saturday at NYC restaurant Accademia di Vino - made headlines Tuesday night after she had dinner in the Hamptons with the 32-year-old father of eight, Michael Lohan and Bravo reality star Jill Zarin.

"I think it's authentic," Zarin told Usmagazine.com of Gosselin's relationship with Major. "I think it's fast. I think it happened very quickly."
Gosselin has yet to confirm a romance with Major.
The news comes less than a week after Gosselin admitted he was dating Hailey Glassman, the 22-year-old daughter of the surgeon who performed ex Kate's tummy tuck.

I think I now understand why Kate was the way she was with him. He is a child and needed to be treated like one. The show should have been called Kate + 9 children.

I wish we could have a show of the "Plus Eight" because the kids are who I care about. I've watched this show from the beginning, and have grown 'attached' to the cute kids. For instance, this season the six younger ones started Early Kindergarten (or whatever Kate called it) and I loved seeing them get excited about school. I guess they can't really have a show without at least one parent, though, and I don't vote for either J or K!

I keep up because Jon reminds me of someone from my past that I do not like. and I dislike Jon, always have thought he was no help, more like child who sat back and was no help, then acted all put upon that Kate had to take the lead and boss him.

I hope Kate anounces her own show, and Jon is left hangin, I just can't stand him.

I haven't had cable in a year and a half and I used to watch this show after Little People Big World. Does Kate seem less bitchy on the last year of the show? She was always great with the kids, doing what needs to be done to raise them. I think TLC focused on the bickering between J&K for entertainment value, which did nothing to help them stay close as a couple. Weren't they only going on date nights on their anniversary? It must be tough having that many kids... but dang... you have to work to maintain that solid relationship.
