| Catty, atleast it's not me talking to myself. Which sometimes it is.... I liked Tami telling him she would like to meet the principal's husband too. I felt bad for Matt that he did so well and then lost the game. And then with the for sale signs at the Taylors. I wonder if people really do take high school football as seriously in real life as they do on this show. I need our Texans to watch to the show and tell me if it's really like that. |

| I guess this is the end of Smash on FNL. I have a question, how did Jason Street leave the show? Was it ever official or will they bring him back some time this season and then give him a proper exit? I'm glad that this season, they are delving into the relationship with Matt and his mother. Good storyline I think. Matt is such a sweet character. I want to hug him everytime he comes on screen. This is a good show to watch for anyone who wants to become a coach. Great relationships that go beyond football. I wish more people watched this show. If they did, they would realize it's more about relationships than football. |

Hi ms. catty, how was your week?
I was so happy for Smash...i think they will bring Jason back, i believe i read they were both going to get a few episodes this season. And i agree about the Matt thing. I hope they give him something to be happy about, he's such a sad little character most of the time, with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
I think FNL is just one of those shows...a great show, but not enough people watch, so it will get an early cancellation. So it's an enjoy it while it lasts kind of thing. |

I'm doing well. How are you doing? They better bring back Jason and give him a proper exit. I agree with Matt. There is sadness and sweetness to him that makes me root for him all the time. He deserves something good in his life. I know it will be cancelled and I'm enjoying it while it's on. It's really nice to talk to you about it. It's nice to see someone enjoy it as much as I do. So thanks. And sorry it takes me awhile to respond after it has aired. I have to watch it online and I sometimes don't like the links provided. Thanks for your patience |

| Hey! Well there's Jason. And his friend...can't remember his name, but he's hilarious. The boys flipping the house should be really funny. I don't think i can take much more sad, mopey Matt. I guess Tyra's cowboy is bad news with the pills, huh? I love to talk tv! I wish this part of the board were more active. I've been watching online as wel... I'll have watch when it airs on NBC as well, or i will feel bad when/if it gets canceled. |

| And Jason reappears. They must have heard me He and his friend are funny. He was in a documentary a few yrs ago called ???, geez I forgot what it's called. I'll have to do a search. I had totally forgotten about Jason being a father. That's what the writer's strike does to you. And not knowing if it will return or not. Looks like Matt won't be sad, mopey no more I really love his mom storyline. |

| I liked the ending between Jason and Lyla. I was tearing up a little. Will Landry ever find love? LOL. Poor guy. I love coach and principal. The link I used to view got cut off suddenly. I wonder if I missed anything important. I'm going to check for better links this weekend or something. |

| I just happened on this thread and can't believe it! I loved Friday Night Lights...watched both seasons, and thought it had been cancelled. I do not get direct tv so I didn't know it was on. Now I can only hope that this third season (and any future ones) come out on dvd. It was (is) the best show!!!!!!!! And I live in Texas...my brother-in-law is a high school football coach...and YES, football is really this big in Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I don't have DirecTV either, but I've been watching it online. Catch up, all 7 episodes are still there, I think. Someone posted a link to a website on the first page of this thread. Check it out. The season has been great so far! |

| I like what they have done with Tyra too. I didn't care for her much in the first season. | catty wrote: | I liked the ending between Jason and Lyla. I was tearing up a little. I did too, it was a nice throwback. I also like that they're giving Smash and Street their happy endings. Most of the time when shows write characters off, it doesn't feel quite right, but i think FNL has done a good job with these two characters.
I watched this week's with a megavideo link from sidereel, and it played all the way through.

| Riggins in the city! "What do you mean you don't wanna see Gypsy?!" And the scenes with him and Jason were really adorable at the end. Poor Tami, very realistic though...I'm sure a lot of people can relate to this house storyline with the economy how it is. |

| I have to say, this last episode might have been my favorite of the season; great acting done by everyone. Riggins and Jason in NYC, and that closeup of Riggins at the end...loved it. Julie standing up for Matt, and the whole scene at dinner where they went outside to run routes. And of course, all the scenes with Coach and Tami are awesome. They're both long overdue for an Emmy nomination. A+ episode _________________ Moderator We're TEXAS.

| JaneDoe, they deserve Emmy's. I finally watched the episode. Of course I loved it I'm guessing this is Street's exit from the show? If so, WELL DONE! He and Riggins being best friends again after everything was so sweet to see. |
