This new ploy for attention has me deeply offended, for myself and many others. Most of us have struggled with those nagging extra 10 to 40 pounds but this new add goes way too far...These women are obese. I have a friend who is over 300 pounds and I see how she struggles day by day and what PETA is doing will NOT help the situation.

I want PETA to die a quick death because of their latest ad campaign. JMO.

Well, aside from being offensive, it's inaccurate. Being a vegetarian has little to do with being lean. You can avoid meat as a protein source and still eat boatloads of empty, high calorie foods. (High calorie snack foods ... chocolate ... high calorie baked goods .... high calorie fast foods like double cheese pizza etc.)

They should take the money it cost to make that billboard and give it to a shelter....then I'll be impressed!!

PETA can be outrageous and ridiculous but when it comes to getting things done in the animal rights department, they are the "go to group" and they have done far more than open shelters for homeless pets.

The victories PETA have accomplished over the past 30 years are far too many to list. They have had a hand in stopping animal abuse, torture etc. Name the animal and PETA has probably had a hand in protecting it.

I think their adds are crazy, and don't agree with a lot of what they believe, BUT when I fell upon a puppy mill in PA, the first place I called was PETA.
