Elizabeth Smart testified today in the competency hearing for her abductor. I was very impressed with her pose and courage. Given the horrors she experienced at 14, she has emerged as quite an impressive young lady.

I know, I have really followed her story closely. She is amazing and such an example to many. She even said that she wished she had been able to face him today. He was thrown out of court before she testified, but he watched from his cell. That takes a lot of courage.

She is amazing! Strong!

She testified to some stuff that her father didn't even know. That sweet girl held it in and then let it out at trial. God bless her!

I saw her father on the news after her testamony, he was so shaken up by what she had indured, I felt so sorry for him.
I heard she had said something to the effect;
"yes, going through something like this is hard, you are never the same after, but it does not have to ruin the rest of your life"
The depth of this young ladies wisdom and inate grace continues to amaze me.

What a horrific ordeal that poor girl went through. My heart just broke reading about it. How can a person be so evil?
