| I loved it! It was very entertaining. I don't believe in ghosts and demons so that might be why I wasn't particularly scared, but I loved how every night something would happen and your anxiety/anticipation would get higher and higher as the show went on. It was A LOT like Blair Witch Project. I laughed a lot, (it was funny believe it or not) and screamed a lot, but more out of shock and surprise... so much suspense. If you do believe in the possibility of these things occurring (being possessed by a demon) than you would be terrified and shouldn't see it. For me it was pure entertainment, kind of like a roller coaster. No blood or gore. _________________ Super Duper Mod

It is completly normal for her. I try not to act any different about it to her when she tells me things about the people she sees so she doesn't get frightened or think that it is wrong or abnormal. At 4, I figure she will either grow out of it or we will have to adjust our conversations as she gets older. Right now,I just ask her normal questions like I do about her friends at Pre-K. I would love to talk to someone who has gone through this before b/c I am just winging it. LOL... _________________ Come tweet with me - poole73

I'm not sure my situation is the same. My ghosts didn't talk. Just liked to scare me. I usually don't mention it, because unless you see one you don't believe in them. I didn't see my first 'till I was nineteen, the second at 25. Then nothing for years. The first two were just vists when I was traveling. And they ment/wanted to scare me. One at a house and another at a bread and breakfast. The last one decided to live with us. I'd wake up with him watching me sleep. Or he'd be standing at the top or bottom of the steps just watching. I could tell he wasn't trying to scare me, but he did. But then again I could just be a woos. I never told my husband because I didn't want him to think I was nuts. Until we were both at the top of the steps, the ghost at the bottom, we tried to talk to him and he ran. My husband even chased him down two flights of steps before he disappeared. Kind of funny now. He'd been seeing the ghost too and didn't tell me either. So I went to the library and got a book getting rid of ghosts. And for the life of me I can't remember the title. It basically said to tell them to go away and it wasn't welcome there. Even leave notes to tell them to go. Ignoring them and not giving them no validity. Then I never saw it again. I didn't answer this sooner because I was afraid it would give my old ghost a reason to revisit. And I do feel something in my house sometimes. It doesn't help that I have a century home in a very small country village. We do have a stoplight though. I'm almost afraid to post this because someone here is going to think I'm a wacko, but I didn't want leave you hanging. I feel for your situation Butterfly. It's hard to fight what you can't see or understand. Wish I could be more help. |

| I hope I don't offend anyone with my post because it is dealing with my spirituality and faith. I read the King James Bible and the NIV Bible. I don't go to Church (used to) but I spend quite a bit of time with my relationship with God and Jesus. That said, I don't believe in ghosts at all. I believe in Demons according to the scriptures. I've had a few experiences with Demonic powers or entities and it was very real to me. Everyone is different and I don't want anyone to feel I'm discounting their personal beliefs. As for the movie, I would see it and probably not be affected by it but I certainly wouldn't laugh at it or mock it. Thanks everyone for sharing your life and experiences, it makes for a very diverse and interesting discussion. _________________ |

Thank you for telling your story.. You are not alone. I want to understnad what Dakota goes through. The Ghost she has seen other than one has been nice. One had a messed up face but Dakota never indicated that she was scared of this little girl. Only one time did she see a man that scared her and it effected her so badly that she got up in the middle of the night to sleep with me and my husband. Throughout the night she would yell out things in her sleep to this man.. I did not bring it up and she has not said anything since. I hope I am doing the right thing by not asking her lots of questions or making a big deal about it.. _________________ Come tweet with me - poole73

| Frances, no offense here. Interestingly enough, we're Roman Chatholic, and had our house blessed when we moved in. I think that had a lot to do with our ghost not moving with us. Or other spirits for that matter. Butterfly, I don't know what the right answer is. I personally feel, that by not acknowledging it leaves it with no power over you. Maybe the less Dakota hears about it the less she'll think about it and it won't invade her dreams. I wish the best to you. _________________ Live so you're not afraid of tomorrow nor ashamed of yesterday.

Thank you, luvmynewf! I deleted the picture because it bothered a few people. It will be fun trying to decide on a new sig line.
BTW, I adore your newfie! I am, of course, a cat and dog lover, actually I'm an animal lover. I even love bats! But I hate creepy crawly things. Hubby and I have an all black cat with green eyes.
Before I go, don't feel alone regarding your situation with the ghosts. I bet there are some groups or families that get together to discuss their personal situations. Maybe you could find a group? Or, just vent here.

| I don't get scared of ghost movies or anything... just real-life stories about murders and stuff are what creep me out. The is no such thing as ghosts, demons, space creatures, esp. or any other thing like that. There is absolutely no evidence of any kind. If there was such a thing, don't you think scientists would have written about it by now? ( I mean real scientists, not kooks or charlatans wanting your money) If you realize there is no such thing, then you can deal with your fears on a psychological level. |

I politely disagree. I have my beliefs and you have yours and its all good. For you, you see no evidence but to me I see the evidence of God everywhere and Satan. But, I'm not saying my way is the right way just that it's what I believe. |
Where did I mention God? |

Actually, some people believe in universal salvation. But as I wrote to Frances, no where did I mention God. |

| I have had a few experences, the first when I was 5. All good, none were scary. I won't go see movie, will wait and see it on video because I am cheap. I used to play in a cemetary when I was a kid (even at night), never had one scary experence. I was related to about half the people buried in it, maybe they made the others leave me alone. lol. I agree with Nancy though, it is the living bad people that are scary to me, not the dead ones. just saying..... _________________ "she who laughs . . . . .lasts"
