Thought this should probably be a category all of its own.

Saw Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian - the kids really liked it and had to watch Night at the Museum #1 (which we naturally have on DVD). Great cast again using most of the same folks. Definitely a movie the children will like.

Now I need to take them to see UP. Anyone see it yet?

Middle daughter and her hubby went to see it, said the movie is very good ... she cried lol They both said don't pay extra to see it in 3D, the effects weren't that good.

Thanks, Mappy. I was going to take Jordan to the UP (3D version). After telling him what you said, he opted to see the regular version and have his brother and sister come along.

You're welcome JW. They were here earlier with their pups and told us about the movie. They actually paid an extra $5 to see it in 3D and said it really wasn't worth the extra cost. The movie is very good though Smile

I enjoyed the movie! Took the advice and saw only the regular version. It is a little sad in the beginning and just a wee scarey (for a 4-yr old) at the end. However, my granddaughter asked if we could buy the movie tomorrow and watch it again at home. LOL Guess she liked it!

Saw G-Force with Jordan today. We loved the movie and he wants to see it again with his brother and sister. It was definitely a kid's movie I could see them watching again and again. I suppose I will have to buy a copy for my collection. LOL

Saw Cloudy with the Chance of Meatballs.

Good movie, but the kids wanted to see it in 3D and I definitely thought it wasn't worth the extra money to see it in 3D. Took my glasses off several times and thought, "so what is the big deal about the 3D?"

Enjoy the movie in the regular 2D version.

Saw "Where the Wild Thing are" hated it! It was dark, gloomy and depressing (to me). My daughter liked it (she said) though she was acting tired and bored during the show.

Thanks, Moody. I heard it was definitely not for younger kids.

Perhaps I will get the kids to wait until it comes out on DVD.

Took Jacob & Jenna to see Christmas Carol! Wow! Pretty scarey for young kids. Ghosts were right out of a horror flick. Jim Carey did an awesome job with all the voices, but the concepts were hard for a 5 & 7 year old to grasp. We did NOT see the 3D version. I can only imagine how frightening that would have been. Oh boy, Jenna is sleeping over and no nightmares yet.

Great idea CW! All the reviews I've read about CC were written by adults for adults. Good to know. Hope Jenna slept through the night.

We saw A Christmas Carol yesterday in 3D it was pretty scary but a great movie. My girls are 9 and they handled it very well and actually picked up on the humor, younger than 9 I wouldn't recommend it for.
