I took my daughter to see the re-make of Fame tonight. It was really, really well done. It was a little less provocative than I remember the original. The lead actor is a little cutie names Asher Book. My daughter and I argued over whether that is his real name or his Hollywood name. All the names in the credits appeared contrived to me.
Price of movie + Price of popcorn and drink + Time with teenage daughter = Priceless

Thanks Tiger I was going to take my girls to see it since they love dance movies but I didn't know if it was any good.

Lovin, My daughter is 13. She has always acted as a little adult. She will tell me things that she believes are inappropriate when I believe they are fine. We talked about the movie ahead of time because of some of the content/context of the original. I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't any awkwardness for us. The overall theme of the movie is a good one. Just one of the messages that I fell in love with: "Everything that you want to change about yourself, all the parts of yourself that you keep secret, it's your power, it's who you are."
