I loved the books...
At first reading the books made me feel uncomfortable and then I realized this was not my life. I have given the books to other and they couldn't read them because it made them feel uncomfortable or they didn't like the materialism of the book. I loved it...
Can't wait to see the movie.

I remember you saying on Dani's forum that you had read this series.
I have the books I am going to start them this weekend.

I finished the first book Confessions of a shopaholic, I thought the book was funny and enjoyable. I can see why some people found it hard to read, it may hit to close to home. I can't wait to get through the rest of the series.
I've started Shopaholic takes Manhattan.

They are funny and I thought it was so weird to feel uncomfortable reading them. Hard to explain unless you have read them. I am glad you liked the book...

Nope, I quit going to the movies years ago. I usually wait for them to come on tv.

Saw the movie.... It was not faithful to the book. The book takes place in England and the movie takes place in New York. The emotions you get from the book, just didn't arise from the movie. At least for me they didn't
I can see if you didn't read the book, you would enjoy the movie because it is a light romance.

I read Shopaholic takes Manhattan and Ties the Knot enjoyed each of these books I have started Shopaholic and Sister. I hate to hear they didn't stay true to the book, it really should have taken place in England.
I just read Can You Keep a Secret? it was really enjoyable and funny.

I wasn't thrilled with the movie. Read the book. A little to predictable and "light weight" for my taste. Had strong Legally Blonde overtones, but I do like the Legally Blonde movies.

I really enjoy her books. She used to write under Madeleine Wickham so those books are now being reproduced.
