<description>I don't remember where or when I found this recipe, but I finally got around to trying it today and . . . Yum! Yum! It's a keeper. I thought it might end up being a pile of mush, given how long it's baked, but nope! It was great. It tasted a whole lot like a casserole my grandma used to make, but she also added layers of thinly sliced potatoes, onions, and rice to the things listed here. I loved that stuff, but this is a good, lower calorie/carb version. I know I'll be making it often. Enjoy!

<description>I made this for the first time this past weekend when my daughter and family came to visit and it was a big hit. My son-in-law ask for the recipe so that was a big compliment since his parents are fabulous cooks. Since everyone likes bacon, that is what I serve with the french toast. Enjoy!

Don't these look good? I was looking for something new to do with potatoes the next time the kids come over and found these. I can't wait to give them a try and thought I'd share what I found with you. You could probably add some crumbled bacon, if you'd like, when you sprinkle the cheddar on top.

I've also included the funny story that was posted with the recipe and a link to the blog. According to the posted reviews, these taters are yummy!

<description>I received this recipe several years ago, as part of a recipe e-zine to which I subscribed. Since, then I've made it many times. It's so easy to throw together, it tastes good, and it's something different, which is a plus in my book. The comments that came with the recipe are in italics.

Silag

One of my favorite standby recipes. I got it out of the Midwest Living Magazine. They had an article on recipes that firemen made so I tried it and it has become one of my favorites.

Shrimp that go from freezer to table in less than 10 minutes. Can you believe it? And, they are yummy!! (I did not add any hot salt, or any salt at all, now that I think about it. As far as I was concerned, it wasn't needed.)

<description>I saw this recipe on the Clean Eating magazine site and decided to try it. I made it with a couple of substitutions (noted) and decided to try pressing them in a panini press that one of my sisters gave me. (She received it as a gift and didn't want it.) Delicious!

						Potato and Egg Italiano Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 whole egg

         2 egg whites

1/4 cup potato, peeled and diced (I never peel potatoes)

1 1/2 tsp olive oil, divided

         1 tbsp water

<description>Gordon Ramsay was on TV tonight and while looking at his recipes on the Ch4 website I found this. I'd never thought of freezing meat in the stock before???? (BTW I'd never frozen stock until Nigella told me I could )

The three recipes quoted aren't bad but I'd be interested to know from the AABB Chefs on here whether you think the basic broth could be used for pie/pudding fillings or pasta sauces, for example? </description>
