I have a few issues but the highest on my silly list is Al Sharpton's speech on how Michael cured cancer, invented the Northern lights, and created the post it note. Beautiful sentiment and had *some* merit but come on.

I also don't think the family should have made little Paris perform. Seemed inappropriate to me. Made me bawl but again, come on.

The rest was beautiful.

I really think Michael was rehearsing his demise and not a concert tour now. Tour name- This is it, tour tshirts sold at the memorial, the ending to Jennifer Hudson's song being prepared and saying what it did, etc etc.

I still think Kavorkian.

I wanted so badly to stay home today to watch this, but couldn't. From what I've read, though, it sounds like it was beautiful. I haven't heard . . . did Elizabeth Taylor speak? I just got home from work and haven't had time to catch up.

Unfortuantely, Michael's kids are now under the guardianship of a family that pushes kids to perform. I pray for them.

Surprised Diana Ross Doesn't Want Responsibility of Jacko's Kids?

Diana Ross and Michael Jackson
no doubt shared a very special relationship dating back to his
childhood years, but it seems the songstress was served quite the
surprise last week when it was revealed Jacko named her as a secondary
caregiver in his will. The late King of Pop specified that he wanted
Ross to be given custody of his three children should his first choice,
mother Katherine, be unable to do so.

Diana’s 20-year-son Evan Ross and his girlfriend were overheard discussing the issue at Diddy’s
Fourth of July White Party presented by Starbucks Ice-cream in Los
Angeles on Saturday. According to what they told friends, Ms. Ross had
"no idea" Jackson had named her in the will and wasn’t too thrilled
about being put in such a position of responsibility.

A rep for Ross did not respond for comment.

This is his daughter talking briefly. Warning: It's heartbreaking, so don't watch if you're not up for that.

There are things we will never know for sure...

We don't know that he molested any children. It is entirely possible that he did, but again we DO NOT know. It is entirely possilbe that he didn't, but again don't know.

We don't know that that the accusers' family weren't after money. They could have been and saw this as a golden opportunity. We just DO NOT know.

I don't know if Paris planned to speak or if she was forced to by anyone in that family. Maybe she chose to as a final tribute to her father, maybe she wanted the world to know that she loved her dad, maybe Janet told her "do this or were calling Debbie"...we don't know.

I can say this though and I am pretty confident about it...

Michael jackson died. He left behind 3 children that loved him. He was the greatest entertainer that the world has ever and will ever see.

RIP, I will miss you MJ...

Who is the woman who sang the lead on Heal the World at the end? I didn't recognize her.

That whole group at the end who introduced and sang the last two songs were the singers and dancers that were rehearsing with Michael for the tour.

I didn't see his daughter speak but did see Brooke Shields and that is when I cried, she had a hard time herself holding it together. I feel for his children.

Though she was not at the memorial service today, Diana Ross, who Micheal requested look after his kids in his will if his mother was unable to, released the following statement:

"I am trying to find closure, I want you to know that even though I am not there at the Staples Center, I am there in my heart. I have decided to pause and be silent. This feels right for me. Michael was a personal love of mine, a treasured part of my world, part of the fabric of my life in a way that I can't seem to find words to express. Michael wanted me to be there for his children, and I will be there if they ever they need me. I hope, today brings closure for all those who loved him. Thank you Katherine and Joe for sharing your son with the world and with me. I send my love and condolences to the Jackson family."

This was read at the service today.

I'm not sure Flower. I thought of Erykah Badu when she was singing.

I don't think Paris was forced to speak. You can clearly see Paris & Janet having exchanges while Marlon was speaking. Then he said I think Janet wants to say something and then Janet tried lowering the mike for Paris. I think that Janet was going to speak, but then Paris wanted to say something. Poor girl.
