happy dance 2 Yea, thanks Mappy & dtd2 and KelliM, I'm excited and can't wait either. I watched the Jade special last night, it was really good, sad, funny and brutally honest. I'm going to go and watch the links you brought over now Mappy. Thanks again everyone.

Thanks for all the links. You all are great. I am going to have to work hard to get all unpacked or leave it unpacked when everything gets rolling. If I was young again, I could be unpacked in a day but since I can't stand for long periods of time it takes me a long time to get stuff done.....but it always gets done.

I am so excited for this to get rolling....hope they have some great housemates.

There's only six days left until BB10 kicks off, and already rumours are rife as to who this year's brave housemates will be.

One name and face who keeps cropping up on BB forums is "Vinnie", who is being described as "the perfect BB villain". One blogger claims, "It is currently under discussion if he goes in on the launch night or half way through the series.

BB bosses are scared he will be voted out too early if he goes in from launch night so may put him in later in the series.

He was the only person to be picked to go into the house from YouTube auditions." Now, we have no idea who this Vinnie character is, but he's already provoking a bad reaction online.

Launch night secrets Exposed

The wait is nearly over. Tomorrow at 9pm live on Channel 4, Big Brother will celebrate a decade on the air with the arrival of 8 men and 8 women who each have a plan to entertain us over the summer months and leave the house victorious (and £100,000 richer).

Those entering the house could potentially spend up to 13 weeks in the Big Brother house but in true Big Brother style they won't be allowed to get too comfortable. Within minutes of them all arriving, Big Brother will reveal to viewers and those in the house that they are not yet official housemates and will not get access to the full Big Brother house.

All hopeful housemates will have to individually earn their housemate status over the next three days by completing tasks set by Big Brother. Each task has been designed to challenge the hopefuls' fears and pride and some will require them to go head to head against one another in a bid to become a bone fide housemate.

Only once the 'hopefuls' have successfully completed a task and been granted housemate status will they be allowed access to the 'real' Big Brother house. Until then they will only be able to access the living room (void of any creature comforts), a toilet and the garden.

Hopefuls won't get access to their suitcases and will be forced to spend their first night sleeping on the living room floor. Bathing will be a bath in the garden which can only be filled by carrying cold water in a hole-ridden bucket across the garden.

All 16 people entering the house have been in hiding for the past few weeks. All that is being revealed before the launch is that the 16 are the most diverse group yet, with hopeful housemates from a wide range of countries and backgrounds. The eldest is 40 and the youngest is 18.

This was not supposed to come out until 12am Britain time and the information has been removed, but it is indeed from Channel 4.

Diary room chair.

Well that is interesting.

Rumor that all housemates are fake, Daily Star never gets anything right though, so is almost guaranteed to be false.

Less than 12 hours now. There are a lot of wild rumors floating. One is a nightmare task where the mates will be strapped into a Sweeney Todd type barber chair and have disgusting 'shots' of liquid poured in their mouths. Supposedly, they have to pass this task to become a housemate.

The Sun is going to publish a story, later, that all the housemates, 16 or 18 of them (whichever source you believe) are all fakes.

The Sun is the master and all the other tabloids are the grasshoppers LOL

'Fit housemates' confirmed for BB10 UK

Wednesday, June 3 2009, 7:02pm EDT

By Alex Fletcher, Senior Entertainment Reporter

Big Brother 10 will include "fit" male and female housemates of all sexual orientations, DS can reveal.

There will be eight women and eight men, who enter the compound tonight to compete for the right to become a bona fide housemate.

Among the 16 hopefuls, there will be "gays, lesbians, bisexuals and virgins", confirmed show producer Phil Edgar-Jones.

"Most of them are single, but they are a really diverse bunch," he said. "They are a cosmopolitan mix.

"Lots of fit girls and lots of fit boys, from all walks of life and all four corners of the world."

The hopefuls' ages range from 18 to 40.

Tabloid reports over recent weeks have suggested that this year's contestants may include beauty queens Stephanie Holland and Karly Ashworh, Coach Trip duo Graham Winstone-Peters and Ivy Pink, a "Brazilian lad", a "wannabe from Pakistan" and a "cheeky joker" from Ireland.

Big Brother 10 starts tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
