Subject: Please send out your thoughts and prayers to my friend Shane
Body: I've gotten to know this couple through work and I am to photograph their wedding in November. He woke up this week with a brain tumor and he's in surgery right now. Great, great guy.

We just finished photographing their table number photos, so these are recent.

If prayers can help, I am certain Shane will have all of our prayers to help him through this time. And I will not forget to say a small prayer for his fiancee that she have the strength to help her through this journey.

Thank you guys for your thoughts and prayers.

Today's surgery was to release pressure and keep down the swelling. He was scheduled for the removal of the tumor on Friday, but had to have this emergency surgery to bring down the swelling.

UPDATE:

"Shane is doing better this afternoon. They took the breathing tube out. And he moved both of his arms during yet another CAT scan today. Can't wait for tomorrow ."

How old is Shane? Did he just wake up with a really bad headache and the tumor was discovered?

He's in his mid 20s. He woke up with his right side numb. He couldn't move anything. He thought he just slept on it wrong and tried to rub it out. Then he tried getting up and couldn't. So they took him and in and they ran a scan and that's when they found the tumor.

OMG, TRD, this is such sad news. I saw that photo you took and thought what a clever thing to do and such a great looking couple. Of course, Shane will be in my thoughts and prayers, I hope the tumor is benign and he will be on the road to recovery real soon.
