High speed is simply amazing, Granny. Dial-up had become such a chore, but this is sheer pleasure. I don't know why in the world I waited so long to do this!

Sort of dinner-related . . . I found the neatest iPhone/iPod Touch app, yesterday. It's a "dinner spinner" from allrecipes.com, and best of alll, it's FREE. I love it! You plug in the type of dish (breakfast, appetizer, etc.), the main ingredient (chicken, fruit, etc.), and prep time (slow cooker, 20 minutes or less, etc.), click the "spinner" and voila. Lots of choices. They've done a great job with this. It's very much like the website, with recipes, pictures, reviews, and the ability to save your favorites. I think I'm gonna love taking this to grocery store with me. No more having to write down what you need to make a certain recipe. Just click "favorites" and go.

If you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, you might want to check this out.

Oh, and one of the best parts (at least to me) is that nutritional info is given for every recipe, or at least for the recipes I've looked at so far.

Enjoy!

My daughter said thanks, Inky. She is going to look into it. She was really excited about the possibilities.

That's what I did at work yesterday, marylou2, but . . . shhhhhh. Don't tell. OK?

I hope your daughter likes it, Mappy! It's kind of addictive. I love reading the reviews.

She sent me a text today. She's in heaven! With work, her commute and little man, she's at her wits end with the same old thing. Now she has new ideas at her fingertips Smile Thanks again Inky!

I'm so glad she likes it, Mappy! I feel your daughter's pain. I was in her shoes for many years -- and still DO work and commute. The difference is that my little man (and little lady) now have little ones of their own. We all have to come up with dinner every day, though, and this spinner makes it so much easier.

I've got Jessie's chicken marinating and the maple chili sauce chilling. All I'll have to do tonight is grill the chicken, steam some broccoli, and (maybe) cook some brown rice. Yum! Yum! Can't wait!

Hey Inky!! I missed this thread. Tonight we are having baked potatoes, chicken stuffed with brocoli and cheese and some veggies on the side. Hubby is working late so the ladies are fed, I am waiting for him to come home to eat!!

Have a great evening everyone!

Your dinner sounds good, Sydney! How do you make your chicken stuffed with broccoli and cheese? I'm always looking for new things to do with chicken and with broccoli. Love both!

I made Jessie's chicken with maple chili sauce, last night, and it was so good. You have to try that one, sometime! Besides the taste, the best thing about it was I had leftovers! So, I know what's for dinner tonight. More chicken with maple chili sauce!!

Your dinner, last night, sounded so good to me, Granny, that I'm going to do the same thing tonight -- grilled salmon with steamed broccoli and red peppers. The only difference is my broccoli didn't come from someone's garden. Er. Well, I guess it did; I just don't know whose. Wink

It was really good Inky. I have a charcoal grill now so did the fish there. I steamed the broccoli and then squeezed a little bit of fresh lemon and a sprinkle of sea salt.

Tonight I had pasta and homemade meatballs in a marinara sauce, a small salad, and garlic bread. Yum-O.

I'm making a 'mess,' tonight. My grandma used to layer sliced potatoes, sliced onions, cabbage, rice, ground beef (browned and drained), and stewed tomatoes in a casserole, cover, and bake for a couple of hours. At the end, she'd sprinkle some cheese on top and melt. I haven't had that in a long time, so that what's I'm fixin' tonight. Of course, it's brown rice and ground (white meat) turkey for me. I figure it will be close to what I remember, though.

I'll bet your salmon was wonderful, cooked on the grill, Granny! There's nothing quite like food cooked outside. I have a gas grill, but I actually prefer charcoal. I just think it tastes better.
