I am going to research making a PDF file so people can easily print these, or something, this is awesome!

I saw your post yesterday, JW, asking how we did this, but I was so busy posting I forgot to respond. Embarassed Old age and all that. I started from one end and Lori started from the other and we met somewhere in the middle. In fact, it was funny. We both posted the last recipe at virtually the same time . . . one on top of the other. Laughing Delete buttons are wonderful things, though. You never noticed that collision, didja?

Inky and Lori, you girls did a great job and all by your lonesome..All recipes will be easy to find. Posters from other Boards have told me how much they enjoyed the Cooking and Baking thread while at the old forum. This one looks even better if that's possible.

high five Wonderful job, girls

For Christmas my DIL made a awesome recipe box for my grand-daughter. Everyone in the family contributed to it and I felt like I was writing forever, so I kind of know how much work this thread is.

I definely know where to go for new ideas. GREAT JOB!

That's such a neat idea, GrannyPanty! So many of my favorite recipes were lost when my grandmas passed away. No one ever took the time to write their recipes down, and boy, what I wouldn't give for grandma's caramel pudding and French cookie recipes.

You all did a wonderful thing for your granddaughter. She'll appreciate that gift more and more, as time goes by.

I didn't know where to put this but when we were making a recipe box I found a cute web site that has blank recipe cards. They're cute and free. I used the unlined ones, typed in the recipe and printed them using my card stock. I could get 2 on each page.

Just a thought here's the link: http://www.graphicgarden.com/files17/eng/print/reccard1.php

Granny...thanks! It is a neat site.

Now I need to figure out how to transfer this to an actual card. Can you buy the blank cards? I didn't read very far, just looked at all the great options.

Oh, wow! I can't tell you how much I appreciate this, Granny! I bought two new recipe boxes, recently, from Longaberger, thinking I would put my recipes on cards for each of the kids. I was having trouble, though, finding recipe cards that I liked. This is exactly what I was looking for! happy dance Thanks!

I just picked out the ones I wanted and saved them as a picture. We filled them out using a word processing program. Don't really know about buying them . I printed mine using blank card stock 4 x 6 - 2 to a page.
You can size them either 3x5 or 4x6.

OK, so I guess I will need to get to Office Depot this weekend. Perhaps when BB9 starts I can start filling them in while I have the live feeds on the other part of my screen. I am pretty good at multi-tasking. lol!

Inky and Lori.....so, I did it....I made Garlic Chip Chicken!!! I just have one question....what the hell was I waiting for?? LOL.....It was so fantastic...my 4 year old gobbled it up, (A minor miracle)...my husband asked where I got the recipe and told me not to lose it...lol...and I LOVED it!! It reminded me of a dish I get from a local mandarin restaurant called Honey Garlic Chicken, so I dipped mine in a bit of honey!!

Anyway...thanks so much and I can't wait to try many other recipes from both of you!! clap clap clap clap Laughing

Oh, yay!! clap I'm so glad you tried Shirley's Garlic Chip Chicken! Isn't it terrific? I had the same reaction, the first time I made it. Where's this recipe been my whole life? I'll try dipping it in honey next time, too. That sounds great, and I know the kids would love it! Thanks for the idea!
