PostSubject: 10-Minute Shrimp   Wed Feb 25, 2009 6:10 pm

You all should have been here for dinner! You missed a good one. I've been waiting for just the right night to try this recipe, and guess what! Tonight was the night. Shrimp that go from freezer to table in less than 10 minutes. Can you believe it? And, they are yummy!! (I did not add any hot salt, or any salt at all, now that I think about it. As far as I was concerned, it wasn't needed.)

10-Minute Shrimp

1 lb. medium shrimp, pre-cooked, frozen
3 T. butter
1/2 t. (or more to taste) OLD BAY SEASONING
1 T. fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1 t. chopped garlic
1 t. hot sauce
1 t. fresh lemon juice (optional)

Do not thaw shrimp. Place shrimp in a microwave-proof bowl (if using fresh garlic, add now) and microwave on high setting for 2-3 mins or until shrimp are steaming hot. Drain liquid. While shrimp are hot, add butter, hot sauce, (lemon and parsley, if using), and remaining seasonings. Return to microwave for 10 seconds or until butter has melted.

Serving Suggestion: Serve garnished with lemon wedges and sprinkled with Morton's Hot Salt.
