| I'm currently reading The Emporer's Children. So far so good. It's about intersecting lives in Manhattan. |

| I am reading INKHEART aloud with my grandson. (Trying to encourage him beyond his 4th grade reading level.) Has anyone read INKSPELL or INKSDEATH? Are they worth the reading? Also, does anyone have a KINDLE? I am thinking of getting one for our Spring trip (rather than bringing lots of books along). _________________ ModeratorNo matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. | Just in case anyone is thinking of buying one, I love my Kindle. I have started placing books on there for our Spring trip. At $9.99 for a newly released book, I can get 2 books for the price of one and not carry those heavy books with me (especially now that they are charging for over-weight luggage). LOL Not only that, but they just released an application of the iPhone that allows you to pick up and read your book from your phone. Go right back to your Kindle and it picks up where you left off. Loving it! Anyone have any good suggestions about new books to read over vacation? _________________ ModeratorNo matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. But, BB season is the best! |

I did the same thing. I am going to start the fourth one tomorrow just in time for the release of the movie on DVD. My twelve year old daughter, who reads all the time anyway, has read through the series 3 times. We will watch the movie together. _________________ “I’d rather be disappointed in some than cynical about all.”

| I'm currently reading Plum Spooky. It's a between the numbers novel by Janet Evanovich. I don't enjoy the Stephanie Plum between number books as much as the numbered ones... _________________ I'm a Newbie, but I'm all about Big Brother

| I love the Stephanie Plum series too. I just recently started reading them and am currently on book number 9. Those books are so entertaining and fun. All the characters are awesome, her grandma Mazur is hilarious and so is Lula. I hope Stephanie and Joe end up together in the end. This series is so great I can't get enough of them. |

| Just finished Jodi Picoult's Handle With Care. Anyone that knows someone with a "special needs" child would be especially touched by this book. Also read J.D. Robb's Promises in Death. If you like to read these detective series, you will enjoy this one. If you are into James Patterson's books, Run for Your Life is a book I breezed through. What can I say? I was on vacation. These tree books made for some good reading. _________________ ModeratorNo matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. But, BB season is the best! |

| Have any of you ever read any of Lee Child's series featuring a character called Jack Reacher? I just finished "Nothing to Lose", the 11th one in the series. (I have a little secret lust in my heart for Jack! Ha) "Killing Floor" is the first one in the series. _________________ In combat or competition, where the stress levels are highest, you do not rise to the occasion… you sink to the level of your training.

I am pretty certain I have read them all. Killing Floor Without Fail Echo Burning Running Blind Tripwire One Shot Bad Luck & Trouble The Enemy Die Trying The Hard Way Nothing to Lose
Did I miss any? I definitely would not turn Jack away from my house. (Even my Son-In-Law likes this series. LOL)_________________ ModeratorNo matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. But, BB season is the best! |

| Dang! I will need to wait until May 19th. That is when it will be available on Kindle. Of course, the prices are usually only $9.99 for a new release. Can't wait! But...saw a FREE book by Lee Child that I had never seen. PERSUADER Ever see this one? I downloaded it. _________________ ModeratorNo matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. | Read Jodi Picoult's Handle with Care. This book reads super fast and I am not a fast reader. It definitely deals with siblings of "special needs" children. Reading Scarpetta at the moment. It is the latest book in the series. It does make me want to go back and re-read a few of the books Patricia Cornwell has written. _________________ ModeratorNo matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. | Read A Quiet Belief in Angels by R.J Ellory and enjoyed it so much I went back and read everything he's written. I'm not sure if all of his books are available in the US and Canada, I liked all of them but especially loved Candlemoth and A Quiet Belief in Angels. _________________ "There is no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast - Unknown"

| I'm in the middle of an interesting memoir called, Project Girl by Janet MacDonald. A girl who grows up in a Brooklyn housing project manages to go to Vassar, law school and journalism school despite all these setbacks in her life, mental illness, and other heavy stuff. Most of her siblings were on drugs, in jail or teen mothers. She ends up beating the odds. If you like heavy books, you might like this one. |
