Why am I posting this????
My trip to Seattle was, yet again, incredible, but far too quick. I
came in on Friday night and we headed straight out for dinner with
Jason’s mom. Let the “firsts” continue…I ate sushi! The food was
excellent, but the company was even better. Jason’s mom is one of the
kindest women I know. It is obvious why Jason is so incredible after
you meet his family. They truly are an amazing group of people.
Saturday morning Jason and I caught up on some much needed rest, until
we were off to the vineyards. We met up with a few of J’s friends to
partake in some wine tasting. This is always an activity that I
enjoy. I don’t know much about wine, but it is a great way to get a
group of friends together to socialize. We all had a really great
time, and I was able to see a new area of Seattle.
Now…Jason and I both have a bit of a competitive side to ourselves. My
dad might describe me as a “winner”

To top off our evening, we
decided to play, what else, but…a pick up game of one-on-one at the
local park. I played basketball in high school, so I figured it
wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to say that I could kick Jason’s
butt. Whelp, I was wrong! He beat me, we will say, a lot to a
little. I am just going to blame it on the fact that the basketball
was flat
On Sunday, we picked up Ty in the morning then headed back home to play
a few innings of T-ball! I must say, Tyler is quite the athlete! I
was so glad that I was able to spend more time with him. Ty seems to
be getting more acclimated to having me around, which is very
comforting. Later, Jason’s brother and sister-in-law came over with
their kids for more play time, and then it was time for me to head off
to the airport.
The trip was very short, but well worth the travels. I am beginning to
feel very at home in Seattle. Jason’s family has embraced me with open
arms, and I feel very much a part of Jason and Tyler’s life at home.
I am really looking forward to my next trip out there, but first, Jason
is headed back to the Midwest for his first Brewer’s game!
Until then,
Moll
